eBay returns for sellers: inspect returned goods
When an eBay return arrives as a parcel, the real work starts: is the item complete, sellable or damaged? Shipnovo collects received, unresolved returned goods from your orders and guides you through the inspection.

From received return to resolved return
Record the goods receipt
Choose the shipped order and record the quantity that actually arrived and is still unresolved.
See open inspections together
The Inspect goods list shows received, unresolved return items across your orders. The oldest receipts come first.
Resolve partial quantities step by step
Confirm only the pieces you have actually inspected. The remaining quantity stays open for the next inspection.
Restock only sellable pieces
Only pieces you explicitly confirm as sellable raise stock. Damaged and unresolved pieces do not.
Inspection and refund stay separate
An inspection does not create a refund. Financial steps and actions that eBay itself requires remain separate steps.
Example with fictional data
Example: a return of five pieces
You received and recorded 5 returned cables. You first inspect 1 sellable and 1 damaged cable; 3 pieces stay open.
- 3 pieces stay open
- The item stays in the work list until you have resolved the condition of the rest.
- Sellable pieces are restocked
- Only the confirmed sellable piece raises stock. The damaged cable does not count.
You can pause the inspection and continue later with the remaining quantity. The inspection history records the confirmed partial quantities.
