Common questions
Nothing within Germany. eBay.de charges private sellers resident in the EEA no final value commission and no fixed fee. If the goods are sent to an address outside Germany, eBay charges a 5% international fee on the total amount. 320 listings per month are free; each additional listing costs €0.50.
It depends on the category and ranges from 5% to 16%, with many categories charging 12% to 14%. In tiered categories, the rate applies up to €990, with 3% charged on the portion above that. There is also a fixed fee of €0.35 per order, rising to €0.45 if the total amount exceeds €10.
On the total order amount: the item price plus the shipping costs paid by the buyer, including VAT. This is why the calculator also asks for the shipping charge. eBay quotes fees for business sellers excluding VAT, and the calculator displays them the same way.
Business sellers pay an international fee outside the eurozone and Sweden: 1.6% for the rest of Europe as well as the USA and Canada, 1.2% for the United Kingdom and 3.3% for all other countries. Private sellers pay 5% for any delivery address outside Germany.
Advertising is only included if you enter the rate for your advertising campaign. The calculator does not calculate VAT or tax effects, does not account for surcharges for a low seller performance status, and does not show additional services such as listing upgrades. eBay's statement is always authoritative. Not tax advice.
