What are bulky goods at DHL?
Bulky items are parcels that cannot pass through standard sorting systems because of their shape, size or packaging. DHL handles them separately, usually for a surcharge.
Typical examples include long, round or irregularly shaped parcels and shipments that are not packed in a rigid cardboard box. Exactly what counts as a bulky item and what it costs are governed by DHL and your contract.
Make sure you correctly mark bulky items when creating the label. Otherwise, DHL may charge a surcharge later.
