Crop shipping label: PDF to 10x15 cm for your label printer
Select the PDF containing your shipping label. The tool finds every label on the page, crops away the white margins and places it on label paper such as 10 × 15 cm without reducing its size. Multiple labels on an A4 sheet become separate pages.

How the tool crops your shipping label
- Your browser opens the PDF and looks for printed content on each page.
- If a page's printed content fits on label paper as a whole, it remains a single label. Otherwise, white strips of at least 8 mm separate individual labels; the 28 mm-wide DHL service area is kept as one label. Narrow and wide information lines are removed and listed in the results.
- Each label is placed at its original size on a separate page in the selected format. Landscape labels are rotated. The order stays the same.
- Barcodes and text remain vector data. The PDF is not converted into an image.

Why the label is not scaled down
DHL does not allow shipping labels to be scaled, as readability can no longer be guaranteed. DHL charges the sender a surcharge for additional processing of shipments that cannot be read by machine. Thermal printers print DHL labels at 203 dpi. The tool therefore places each label on the paper without reducing its size. A border line of up to 1 pt is tolerated without scaling down. If the label is larger, the tool identifies a format it fits on.

Formulas, assumptions and worked example
How the calculator works
- Points = millimeters × 72 ÷ 25,4 (1 inch = 25,4 mm = 72 points)
- The label is centered: left margin = (paper width − label width) ÷ 2, likewise at the top and bottom
- The label is never scaled; if it does not fit, it is rotated by 90 degrees
- Tolerance: 0,5 mm raster error plus 1 pt border stroke, totaling about 0,85 mm
Assumptions
- Processing takes place locally in the browser. Your file is not uploaded.
- Paper sizes: A6, 100 × 150, 103 × 150, 103 × 199 mm and 4 × 6 inches.
- DHL supplies the label in format 910-300-300 and other formats; the size is stated in the DHL API documentation.
Worked example: 4 × 6 inch label on 103 × 199 mm paper
Label 101,6 × 152,4 mm (4 × 6 inches).
- Label in points
- 288 × 432 pt (101,6 × 72 ÷ 25,4 = 288)
- Left and right margins
- 0,7 mm
- Top and bottom margins
- 23,3 mm
- Rotation
- 0 degrees
Edge cases
- The same label on 100 × 150 mm paper: does not fit (1.6 mm too wide, exceeding the 0.85 mm tolerance).

Common questions
No. Cropping takes place entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device, not even for the preview.
DHL does not allow shipping labels to be scaled, as this can make the barcode unreadable. DHL charges a surcharge for shipments that are not machine-readable. If a label is larger than the paper, the tool suggests a suitable format.
That depends on the print format. DHL labels measuring 103 × 150 mm are 3 mm wider than 10 × 15 cm. The tool checks the detected label and, if it does not fit, suggests 103 × 150 mm or 103 × 199 mm instead.
Yes. If the printed content of a page does not fit on label paper as a whole, the tool splits it into individual labels along white strips at least 8 mm wide. This keeps each individual DHL label intact. Every page of the PDF is checked, and the order stays the same.
