Packstation address for DHL label
For a Packstation or post office, DHL needs the station number and the buyer's Postnummer in specific fields. DHL rejects the label if these details are entered elsewhere in the address.
What the message says
The app shows these messages in German. They are quoted exactly so you can match them.
- DHL: Bitte eine gültige Stations- oder Filialnummer im Feld Hausnummer eintragen. (DHL: Enter a valid station or branch number in the house number field.)
- DHL: Enter only the post number (6–10 digits) in the address supplement for Packstation/branch.
- DHL: Packstation und Postfiliale sind nur in Deutschland verfügbar. (DHL: Packstation and post office delivery are only available in Germany.)
Possible causes
- The station number is in the street field, for example Packstation 123.
- The Postnummer is missing or combined with other text in the address extra field.
- The address is outside Germany.
How to fix the error
- 1
Edit the address
Open the order and click “Edit address”.
- 2
Separate street and number
Enter only Packstation or Postfiliale in “Street”. Enter the station or branch's three-digit number in “No.”.
- 3
Enter the Postnummer
In “Address addition (optional)”, enter only the buyer's Postnummer: 6 to 10 digits. Don't add anything else there.
- 4
Save and create the label again
Click “Save” and create the label in a new shipping batch.
Common questions
The Postnummer is in the buyer's DHL account. If it is missing from the order, ask the buyer. Shipnovo never derives it from other details.
No. DHL doesn't deliver parcels to a post office box. If the street field says Postfach, Shipnovo rejects the DHL label.
Yes, for DHL labels created through the DHL interface. Enter Paketshop in the street field and the branch number in “No.”. Shipnovo can't use blank DHL PDFs from label stock for parcel shops.
