Inspect returns and add items back to inventory
When a parcel comes back, inspect the goods first. Shipnovo adds only the quantities you confirm as sellable back to inventory. You still issue the buyer's refund through eBay or your payment provider. Shipnovo does not create return labels.
For existing accounts: Sign in and follow the steps.
Step by step
- 1
Start a return intake
Open Returns and click Record return intake. The Return intake dialog opens.
- 2
Find the order
Under Find shipped order, search for the order associated with the parcel. Shipnovo shows the shipped items.
- 3
Classify the quantities
For each item, split the returned quantity into Sellable, Damaged, and Unresolved. You cannot record more units than were shipped.
- 4
Confirm receipt
Add an intake note if needed, for example describing the packaging condition. Click Confirm receipt. Only sellable quantities immediately go back into inventory.
- 5
Inspect unresolved goods later
Unresolved units appear in the Inspect goods list. Open them when you have time and mark them sellable or damaged after inspection.
- 6
Record refunds separately
Issue the refund through eBay or your payment provider. In Shipnovo, record the status with Record return, for example Refund documented.
