What is the DHL routing code?

The routing code is a sequence of digits with a barcode on DHL parcel labels. It describes the parcel's destination so that the sorting system routes it correctly.

The routing code consists of the postcode, a street identifier, the house number, a product code and a check digit. It is printed in the format #####.###.###.##.#.

If the routing code does not match the address, the parcel may be sorted in the wrong direction. This is why it must match the recipient's address on every label.
