Switch from JTL-Wawi and JTL-Shipping to Shipnovo
JTL-Wawi is an inventory management system, and JTL-Shipping is its shipping solution. If you mainly sell through eBay and ship with DHL or Deutsche Post, you can move shipping to Shipnovo. Save your products, customers, and orders first.
Information about JTL is based on the provider's linked help pages, checked on 4. Oktober 2026. Menus and features may change.

- 4

Set up Shipnovo
JTL file for product import
Upload the Ameise export unchanged in the product importer. The AI maps item number, product name, weight, and GTIN or EAN. The mapping converts weight in kilograms to grams. Shipnovo flags uncertain columns for review.
- 5
Connect your eBay account
Create your Shipnovo account and connect each eBay seller account under Settings → eBay accounts. Shipnovo will then retrieve your eBay orders. Use “Import from eBay” to also fetch the last day or the last 7, 30, or 90 days.
- 6
Set up your shipping account and label format
Under Settings, connect your DHL account with your business customer contract, or your Deutsche Post account with Internetmarke and Portokasse. Set your sender details and print format under Shipping methods.
- 7
Import products
Open Products & inventory → Import and upload your file as it is: CSV, XLSX, XLS, or XML, including an export from your previous tool. Shipnovo detects the columns and shows you their mapping. It asks about uncertain columns. Review the preview before importing the products. Re-importing updates existing SKUs instead of creating duplicates.
- 8
Enter stock
You can include stock when importing products if your file has a quantity column. Choose whether the quantity replaces or adds to stock, and confirm before importing. Edit individual products under Products & inventory in the Stock and inventory management dialog. Shipnovo records every change, with a reason, in the stock history.
- 9
Match eBay listings
Under the eBay mapping tab, match your eBay listings for each account to the imported products.
- 10
Create shipping rules again
Shipping rules cannot be imported. Create them again under Settings → Shipping rules. A rule suggests a shipping method based on country, order value, or eBay account.
- 11
Test with a few orders
Under Settings → Setup, you can see the remaining setup steps. Start with a shipping run containing a few orders. Real labels incur postage charges through your own shipping account.
- 12
Go live
Create labels and a packing list in the shipping run. Shipnovo reports the tracking number to the eBay account used for the order. Set when this report is sent under Settings → Shipping notifications to eBay.
Switch off JTL
Set a cutover date: ship orders up to that date in JTL, and all later orders in Shipnovo. Switch off JTL only after your first shipping runs in Shipnovo are complete.
- 13
Delete the eBay sales channel in JTL
In the sales channel management for eBay, select the sales channel and delete it. Do this only after the cutover date.
What Shipnovo does not take over
- Shipnovo connects directly to eBay only. Upload orders from other sources as a CSV or Excel file under Orders → Import file.
- Customers, invoices, and past shipments cannot be imported. Keep those exports yourself.
- Recreate shipping rules, templates, and automations from your previous tool manually.
- You cannot transfer stock history from your previous tool. Product import carries over only the current quantity, if your file has a quantity column.
- Shipnovo does not create invoices for your customers.
JTL is a trademark of its respective owner. Shipnovo is not affiliated with this provider. We mention it only to describe the switch.
Common questions
No. Shipnovo runs in your browser. You do not need an inventory system, database, or printing software.

Set a cutover date. Ship orders up to that date in your previous tool, and all later orders in Shipnovo. Disconnect the eBay integration there only after that.
