Reply to eBay messages with templates
Many buyer questions come up again and again: Where is my parcel? When will you ship it? Write a reply once and reuse it as a template. Shipnovo fills placeholders with order details. Replies always come from the eBay account that received the message.
For existing accounts: Sign in and follow the steps.
Step by step
- 1
Open message settings
Open Messages and click Settings. The dialog contains a Reply templates section.
- 2
Write a template
Enter a template name, such as Shipping confirmation. Write the reply as you would send it to any buyer.
- 3
Insert placeholders
Under Insert placeholder, click one, such as {buyer_name} or {tracking_number}. Shipnovo inserts it at the cursor. Save it with Add template.
- 4
Open a message
Open a buyer message. The sender shown next to the reply field is the eBay account that will send the reply.
- 5
Insert a template
Choose a template under “Insert reply template…” or type / in the reply field. Placeholders are filled with details from the linked order.
- 6
Review and send
Read through the reply and edit it if needed. If a placeholder has no value, Shipnovo prevents sending until you replace it.
